Welcome

"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

Updates, Updates Finally!

It has been a long time since I last posted and so many things have happened! I feel so lazy when it comes to updating the blog. But I LOVE to do it!

On January 15, 2010 (I was exactly 25 weeks) we had another ultrasound. We got a new sonagrapher and her name was Jody. She was AMAZING! She answered all of our questions with no hesitation and we could hear her very clearly (the last person we had we could barely her when she talked). Jody pointed everything out as she was measuring including the baby’s bladder to her liver. It was incredible!
There was one time that she zoomed up on Baby Kyrsten's face and we saw her little nose and mouth really clear. It was so cool! I thought that Jody at had taken a picture of it but sadly I was wrong. We did however get a few profile pictures and a couple of feet pictures. In one of the profile pictures it shows the baby with her mouth open and you can see her tonuge clearly. It was so cool to watch her swallow because her tongue would go in and out.
Jody had asked us in the beginning if we had already knew what we were having and we told her that the last test that we had done wasn't very clear because of baby's position. By the end of the ultrasound Jody says, " Ok guys lets go down there and take a look." I will never forget this next part. "Yep looks like a little hamburger and not a turtle." I couldn't stop laughing, I had never heard it explained like that before! Sure enough we are having a little girl!
We also had found out that my placenta is an anterior placenta which means that the placenta is located on the front of the uterus. So it would explain why I don't feel baby that much in front but I can feel her more on the sides. It's not a bad thing at all just makes baby's movements less noticeable in the front.
We found out at that time that baby Kyrsten weighed approximately 1lb and 11oz give or take 2 oz. By now she is a lot bigger. Pretty cool how they can determine all of that from measurements on an ultrasound.

I am feeling pretty good these days for the most part. Besides not getting much sleep due to having to get to go to the bathroom every hour and half. I guess it's your body telling you to get ready for what's to come. My hips hurt from all the stretching and my back is in pain from all the weight. But it is all for a wonderful and beautiful cause.

It's amazing how much I already love this baby! Mike and I cannot wait to meet her and see what she's like all they way around from her personality to who she looks like most.

Mike has been so busy with school and coaching baseball these days that we really haven't had a lot of time to go on adventures. I miss the adventures but I totally understand that school is a priority these days. I can't wait until he is finished! It will be a glorious day!
So our adventures have been registering a couple of weeks ago at Babies R us and boy was it overwhelming but fun!
There was one whole wall dedicated to bottles, nipples, and pacifiers. It was crazy! But we registered for what we thought was best and just rolled with it. It's funny how your wants and needs change. I can't wait to get the crib, etc... and to start setting everything up.
Mike and I are completely blessed to have this chapter in our lives and can't wait to see what God has in store for us on this road.
