Welcome

"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

Salmon Cooking Class

Mike surprised me a couple of weeks ago with booking a cooking class in Downtown Seattle at Diane's Kitchen.
We had to wait a couple of weeks to enjoy it but today was the day!
I thought when we got there that we would have to do all the cooking but, no she DOES IT and we watched!
Diane was so entertaining and the food was fabulous!
She would first feed us every ingredient by itself and then we would get to taste it all together.
To start we had a spiced salad with cherry tomatoes and peaches topped with a yummy vinaigrette dressing.

Next came the Salmon! She first showed us a new way to shuck corn and to season it. We aslo had steamed green beans with no seasoning. They were so good that it didn't need it. She showed us how to remove the skin of the Salmon before cooking. Which was very easy I might add. She blacken the salmon on one side with a blackened seasoning and cooked it in a smoky tasting grapeseed oil. It was like butta it melted in my mouth. It was so good!

The Next thing that came to finish it all off was the Blueberry Tart! It was fabulous!

We had such a great time! We will be definitely going back again sometime for sure!

After we were finished with the class we thought that we would go to the Pike Place Market and pick up this lovely tea that Diane had for us. It was so sweet and it didn't even need sugar.

I love all the beautiful flowers they had at the market and the wonderful colors everywhere.

We also decided to stop at Daily Dozen and get a dozen Doughnuts to share. They were fabulous!

We had such a wonderful day! My hubby is the greatest!
