Welcome

"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

2009

This has been an incredible year! Where to even start...
Baby Hale 4/29/09 - We love you so much!

First we found out that we were pregnant with our first child in January last year and lost him/her 17 weeks later in April. That was one of the most hardest times in our lives. But with God's love and your constant prayers Mike and I have been able to get through that Valley one step at a time. I still think about our first all the time and miss him/her so much. I can't wait to see and hold him/her in heaven! Our family finally will be complete.

In March we went to Mexico with our great friends Shaun and Courtney. It was so amazing and I can't wait to go back some day. When you go on vacation the time is never enough you always want to stay longer especially when you are having a great time!

In the summertime Mike started school to be a Registered Nurse. A long journey that will pay off not only for him but us as a family. He is going to make a great Nurse and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us on that journey!

Like every every summer Mike played baseball and I am his biggest fan!

At the end of the summer my Grandma Janice came to visit us in August for a week. We had not seen her since our wedding four and half years ago. It was so nice to see her and give her a taste of our life here in Seattle. I think she enjoyed herself and I would LOVE to have her back she is a kick in the pants!

23 Weeks!!

Just a week after my grandma left, Mike and I found out that we were pregnant with our second child!! What a true blessing from God! I thought that we would have been trying a lot longer than it actually took.
We are so excited and can't wait to meet our baby in April this year!

We went camping with the Irvin clan in September. That was a great adventure expect for all the bees! But it makes for a great story!

In November I celebrated my 30th birthday! I can't believe I am 30 years old, it is so crazy! When I was a kid that was SOO old! Well I don't feel old, I feel as young as I want to be without being too ridiculous. I think??

In December before Christmas we went to Las Vegas for a babymoon. it was a great time to get away and enjoy each other before the baby arrives. I wasn't to big to be too uncomfortable but boy the walking was killing me! We had experienced enough of it to not go back for a couple of years.

We did so much this last year that I can't mention everything. You will just have to read my blog all the way through. ;)

We spent New Years Eve with our friends at Shaun and Courtney's house. It was great! We had fondue, lots of snacks, games, and of course apple cider for me and margaritas for everyone else that wanted them. Mike and I ended up staying the night over at Shaun and Courtney's, good thing because we probably wouldn't have left until 2am.

I can safely say that Mike and I are both looking forward to this new year and what God has in store for us. It will be a new exciting and scary chapter but, with God being the center of our family all things can be done.
"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." - Psalm 28:7

December

There has been a whirlwind of things happening this month.... First of all you may remember my last post with the announcement of the sex of the baby only being an 80% chance.
I went to see my Dr. that following week and she said that she would reschedule an ultrasound for me by the end of January when I am around 26weeks along. She also said that the baby is measuring just right! Which is fabulous news!
Well they baby is definitely a mover and a shaker which, by the way, I LOVE! I know you other mothers out there are saying "you aren't going to like it much soon". But for now it gives me the reassurance that she is doing great! She is also getting stronger and bigger and it is very noticeable!

The second weekend of December Mike and I went on a Babymoon to Las Vegas! I originally wanted to go on a cruise but I needed to save as much vacation as I could, so this was the next best thing. We saw four shows Carrot Top (which by the way was a lot funnier than I thought it would be), Tournament of the Kings at Excalibur, Blue Man Group (awesome and they interacted with Mike, and it was on the big screen), and Cirque De Soliel: Mystere. We also did a lot of walking. When you have more weight on your body than you are used to it hurts to walk that much. Just when you think you are almost there, you're not! Carrot Top was right when he said the theme song for Las Vegas should be "I would walk 500 miles!" It was a nice time to get a way and enjoy each others company and take a vacation before the baby arrives.

We stayed at The Luxor

At the Tournament of The Kings Show

There was a beautiful waterfall display at the Venetian and much more!

We spent Christmas at G-ma Denham's house (Mike's Grandma). Unfortunately I don't have any pictures!! I totally spaced it, can you believe it?
We all had a great time and as always it is a pleasure to hang out with Mike's family!
I hope every one of you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the new year!

November Catch Up

I am so behind on updates!! I know it's a poor excuse but by the time I get home from work I don't want to get on the computer. But, really I just need to suck it up and do it!

Well November has been a really exciting month for me.... I felt the baby move for the first time and I turned the BIG 3-0!!

Mike took me out to the Melting Pot in Bellevue for my Birthday once again! It was so great! Everytime I go there I always eat way too too much(the only two times I've gone)! But, the food is so good and you just don't want to waste it. This year at the end along with our regular dessert they brought out a little sample of different chocolate covered strawberries with a little brownie in the middle and a candle sticking out. It was so yummy!

Mom if you are reading this you and Larry were very MISSED and we will do this when you come over again for sure!

We also celebrated Thanksgiving this year over at the Davenports (Mike's Aunt Marie's). Which of course is always wonderful! The food was great and so was the company! I just love these guys! I can't wait for our Christmas get together!

NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF!!

We had our 18wk and 5day Ultrasound today. I was so excited that the night before I didn't get to sleep until about 11:30pm because we would HOPEFULLY be finding out what we are having...
Which by the way is an 80% chance that it is a GIRL!
She was in a weird position, it was like she was sitting up. The sonographer was having a hard time trying even measuring the spine. But she said that she's been doing this for a few years and that she is 80% sure that it is a girl. She even pointed out the anatomy so taht I could see. Poor Mike couldn't even hear her, she talked really quitely.
I'm hoping when I go into see see my Dr. next week I can ask her if I can have another Ultrasound to be able to double check (just in case).
I will be updating everyone as well!
For those of you that woudl like to know we will be naming her Kyrsten Nicole.
Wow! I can't believie it! It looks pretty written down! So crazy!

The last couple of weeks have been really hard but, I know that God is with me every step of the way! I really appreciate all of your prayers! Please continue to keep Mike and I and Kyrsten in your prayers as we go through the rest of the Pregnancy!

"The Lord is my shepard, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of rightousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." - Psalm 23

Until our next update.....
