Welcome

"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

We have been blessed!!!

So much has happened in the last couple of weeks. I didn't write for fear that I would spill the beans. But, here it goes.... We are Pregnant!!! We found out on August 21st that we were pregnant. I didn't want to believe it but the Lord has blessed us once again!

We had our first ultrasound today and it was so amazing! We are 9 weeks and fours days. Our due date is on Mike's birthday April 30th! What a blessing! We saw our little baby's hands and feet move and saw it's little heart flutter on the screen. The best part of all was hearing the heartbeat! What an amazing miracle!!

So many verses come to mind...

"God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number..." Genesis 1:22

" Let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." - James 1:4

"As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will God rejoice over you." - Isiah 62:5

"Lord you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure." - Psalm 16:5

"Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." - Psalm 30:5

The Lord has blessed us with this little baby growing inside of me and we are so excited!!!
We are so happy to share our wonderful news with you all. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
We look forward to sharing so much more with you!

God is so Good

I was reading my daily Bible verus today and it reads “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”- Isaiah 46:4

What powerful words! God is so good and I praise Him daily and thank Him for ALL of the wonderful things his has put into my life and has taken away! He is my constant! He never leaves me!

It is so hard to believe all that Mike and I have gone through in the past several months and here we are still trusting God more than we ever have!

Praise you Jesus for the love that you give it is so amazing!!!!

Salmon Cooking Class

Mike surprised me a couple of weeks ago with booking a cooking class in Downtown Seattle at Diane's Kitchen.
We had to wait a couple of weeks to enjoy it but today was the day!
I thought when we got there that we would have to do all the cooking but, no she DOES IT and we watched!
Diane was so entertaining and the food was fabulous!
She would first feed us every ingredient by itself and then we would get to taste it all together.
To start we had a spiced salad with cherry tomatoes and peaches topped with a yummy vinaigrette dressing.

Next came the Salmon! She first showed us a new way to shuck corn and to season it. We aslo had steamed green beans with no seasoning. They were so good that it didn't need it. She showed us how to remove the skin of the Salmon before cooking. Which was very easy I might add. She blacken the salmon on one side with a blackened seasoning and cooked it in a smoky tasting grapeseed oil. It was like butta it melted in my mouth. It was so good!

The Next thing that came to finish it all off was the Blueberry Tart! It was fabulous!

We had such a great time! We will be definitely going back again sometime for sure!

After we were finished with the class we thought that we would go to the Pike Place Market and pick up this lovely tea that Diane had for us. It was so sweet and it didn't even need sugar.

I love all the beautiful flowers they had at the market and the wonderful colors everywhere.

We also decided to stop at Daily Dozen and get a dozen Doughnuts to share. They were fabulous!

We had such a wonderful day! My hubby is the greatest!

Camping Weekend

I meant to update the blog last weekend when we came back from camping... Too much to do these days.
We went camping with the Irvin clan Mike's Aunt Gerri and Uncle Pat there children Dana, Jill, and Kelly, Graham, Dana's husband and their kids Carey and Luke and Jill's husband Doug.
We camped out at Lake Wenachee just before you get to Leavenworth.
The weather was beautiful in the low eighties and a bit windy the first day we were there.
The only problem we had were the bees they were everywhere! with Mike being allergic to them I was on point all the time! Lol!

The buckets that Mike and I got for Carey and Luke were a hit and they were only a $1.00!

We out to the Lake a few times during our stay. I think mostly for the kids but, we all had fun!

Carey and I made a tiny Sand Castle.

Doug had just brought Gretel out of the water and she was still moving her tiny little legs like she
was swimming. It was so cute!

Enjoy the fire and some SMORES!

The Bee Trap.

Burn Bees Burn!

Jill and Doug
They left Sunday morning early to finish their two week adventure to Whistler and Yellowstone!

We ended the camping weekend fishing with Shaun and Courtney on her dad's boat out Lake Washington in Renton. I was the first to catch a perch and then Mike but of course my fish was bigger!
It was a good ending to a great weekend. We have so much fun! Too bad it went by so quick!
